Why am I not able to log into computers?
Make sure the password is correct. Also make sure the ‘Caps Lock’ and ‘Num Lock’ is set as per your requirement. Still if you are not able to log in please note down the exact error message and contact the Student Technology Leaders' helpdesk.


How do I connect to Internet with my laptop?
Make sure the wireless on your laptop is enabled and working. Open ‘View all wireless networks’ window. If you are not able to find ‘MECIT Wi-Fi’ wireless network try ‘Refreshing’ the window. Select ‘MECIT Wi-Fi’ and click ‘Connect’. Once you are connected, you will see a message ‘Successfully Connected to MECIT Hotspot’. 
Now open your web browser (Internet Explorer) and type the URL of the site you would wish to visit. The browser will prompt for a username and password. Give your college username and password to authenticate and get re-directed to your URL.


Can you install Software on my Laptop?
If you are a student then we not be, we don’t have student license in our Microsoft Schools agreement. So check the availability of Software/General labs and work in the college provided PCs. Same is the case with all the other software.
If you are a staff, then “Yes. We have ‘Work at Home’ rights granted by agreement. So staff can install all MS Software either on their Laptops or Home PCs. 


Can you help me in doing the project?
If you expect us to guide you through the entire project then the answer is a “NO”. Whereas if you expect us to clarify doubts then, may be the answer is “YES”, provided you take prior appointment from the person you would like to meet.


Why is my Flash Memory not being detected on SunRay?
First make sure the flash memory works. The flash memory, if infected with virus will not be detected by SunRays. You need to clean the flash memory and then try again. Please contact the STL helpdesk for support.


Where should I go to burn a CD/DVD of my files?
Please make sure you bring your own CDs/DVDs. The STL helpdesk has been equipped with the provision to burn CDs/DVDs.


Can I download files from the Internet?
Due to high bandwidth usage, the downloading feature is restricted to 5 Mb per day. Trial versions of most of the available software will be available on the PCs provided in the learning resources lab.

Why am I not able to print?
Please ensure you have enough print balance in your print quota. If you have, but still unable to print, please contact the STL helpdesk.
