Information Systems Unit is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the various online, intranet and client solutions used in MECIT. The Unit provides applications for the data entry, data tracking and data information needs for the various departments and functionalities within MECIT.

The Unit develops, maintains and provide support for the following in-house applications:

• eCampus - College Information System (CIS)-CIS is a web application developed primarily for storing student records and is available over the Internet. The array of functionalities includes, but is not limited to student registration, degree plan, module registration, attendance alerts, marks and semester results, book circulation and OPAC search, academic advising, student feedback and dashboards.
• Human Resource Information System (HRIS)-HRIS is developed primarily for management of staff records. Examples of current functionalities are: staff profiles, air ticket requests, leave requests and visa renewals.
• eTracker – Tracking system used to log issues and maintenance jobs.
• ePlacement – Platform for sourcing employment for MECIT graduates. It also serves as the alumni database.
• Sharepoint Portal  - A site for all departments in MECIT with some pre-defined features like document library, announcements, events, discussion forums and Wiki
• College Website and Intranet Portal  - Platforms for communication and information dissemination.
