The unit operates under the Learning Resources & Technology Services department and is constantly working towards enhancing student experience at MECIT through the use of technology enables services.

The Unit provides the following services:

• Learning Management System (Moodle)-Moodle is used by teaching faculty to provide supplementary material, conduct online assessments and to facilitate collaborative learning. It is used by students for assignment submissions, taking quiz, submitting project diaries, download class notes etc. It is also providing synchronous and asynchronous communication channels for bettering the learning experience.
• Classroom Technology-Classrooms are provided with computers and LCD projectors. Some classrooms are provided with AV equipment, port replicators and interactive boards such as ‘Sympodium’ and ‘PaperShow’.
• Learning Resources Lab: This is a 368 seat SunRay thin client Learning Resources Lab available to students in the Library building.
• Special Purpose Labs: Departmental labs equipped with computers and accessories as required for the successful delivery of modules are available. These labs are installed with appropriate software.
• Inhouse Multimedia Design- The College newsletter, The Dhow is designed by the unit. The unit also undertakes multimedia design works in collaboration with other support services departments.
