Freshman Applicants

Students seeking direct admission to any of the Bachelors or Diploma programmes offered at MECIT should possess a General Education Certificate (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling) or equivalent qualification. They further have to showcase a 5.5 score on IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or its equivalent.

Students who do not have the required score in English will have to take a placement test to determine their proficiency level. Depending on their proficiency levels reflected in the placement tests, students will be placed in the appropriate levels of the English Foundation Programme.

Transfer / Exemption Applicants

Transfer/exemption students seeking admission to any of the Bachelors or diploma programmes offered at MECIT should apply directly to the college. They should submit Original transcripts from the current/previous institution and relevant programme description. Admission is subject to approval by the concerned authorities and will take a minimum of 15 days for the formalities.

International Applicants

International students with other achievements equivalent to General Education Certificate (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling) may apply for the programmes. However their admissions will require attestations from appropriate authorities. College will assist students for this purpose. Incase of a Visa requirement for the international applicant to study in Oman, the college will assist them in the visa formalities.
