Department of Mathematics and Applied Sciences was found along with MECIT in 2002.  The modules offered as College requirement are College Mathematics, Calculus and Numerical Methods, Descriptive Statistics, and Inferential Statistics.  In addition, students currently specializing in IT for Health take Medical Statistics and Electronics and Telecommunication Students take Engineering Physics and Advanced Calculus from the Department.  Support is also extended to the Research Methods Module for MBA (IT).   Furthermore, the department has approval for several elective modules like Business Mathematics and Engineering Graphics.

Mathematics was introduced in the Foundation as early as 2003.  It has been revised currently in alignment with the GFP standards.  Along with that, necessary changes have been made in the other modules and the curriculum has been revised.
