Enriching student experience at MECIT is an important part of the Department’s agenda. From the moment, students enter the portals of the College, the Department ensures that they are assisted in this period of transition. The Department plays a major role in the Orientation programme. The faculty aid the students during their first days in the college familiarising them with all aspects of college life.

Faculty are also involved in academic advising wherein they assist students in the semester programme. They guide their advisees on all areas of their academic life.

Students of the Foundation programme are offered tutorials for extra academic support. Remedial classes are conducted for those students who are unable to pass Foundation 1 during the summer semester.

The faculty also encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular activities. Many of the clubs are under the aegis of the department like the Public Speaking Society, Drama Club, Poetry club, Media Club etc. The faculty help in the organisation and conduct of activities by other departments too.
