The Department of Creative Technology is devoted to the study of the practice and theory of design technologies.  Based on its understanding of the growing demand for design professionals in the Middle Eastern region, the department offers 2 unique design programmes committed to academic and design excellence.  These include the Bsc Honors degree in Fashion Design Technology and the Bsc Honors degree in Games Technology.

Through its curriculum and student experience, the department provides students with an exciting and enriching academic experience.

Its goal is to impart well rounded design education, providing students with analytical and marketable skills, critical judgment, sound knowledge of the visual arts, and self-confidence as creative designers.
In light of that, the Department stresses an integrated curriculum that includes the development of aesthetic awareness, technical skills, historical and contemporary issues, and production in relation to design.

In addition to helping students gain solid foundations in the design studies, the department also supports the development of professional and design experience amongst students. Students are encouraged to partake in extra curricula activities such as shows, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, industry visits and design projects.
